The Beach Dome. A vacation rental dome located on Topsail Island near Wilmington, North Carolina. 3500 s.f., 6 bedrooms and 4 baths.

All the comforts of home - but home never felt or looked like this dome! A vacation dome designed especially for rent by multi-family groups or large families, like grandparents and parents and kids and grandkids or 5 to 6 couples. The dome has many private spaces in which to retreat along with a living/dining room & kitchen large enough to accommodate groups of people and foster togetherness.

Rent this vacation dome by the week or, in the off-season, rent it for as few as 3 days.

Inside The Beach Dome, you'll view the ocean through a 40' panorama of windows-- or from the skyloft 55' above the ocean.  Enjoy meals on the 10' x 30' deck.  The dome sleeps 16 people. It has 6 private bedrooms; 1 king, 4 with queen beds and 1 with 2 double beds.  There is also an upper floor family/TV room that sleeps 3-4 with a hide-a-bed couch, a single couch and a pull out "Trundle" bed.  5 bedrooms have wonderful ocean views through large windows.  There are 4 baths.  The third floor main bedroom has a Jacuzzi tub with ocean view.  Everything is furnished: all kitchen cooking/eating items, micro-wave, dishwasher, full-size washer and dryer, 4 cable color TVs, 2 VCRs, 1 DVD player, 3 phones, stereo/AM/FM/CD/tape deck.  Sheets and pillow cases are provided (towels are not).

The Beach Dome is in North Topsail Beach on Topsail Island, North Carolina, between Wilmington and Jacksonville along North Carolina's southeastern coast.

On the north end of the island the pace is quieter. Wading, swimming & body surfing in the warm waters are very pleasant experiences, even as late as Thanksgiving. April, May, September & October are wonderful months just waiting to be discovered.

Our small barrier island, only recently discovered by vacationers, is quite different from other resort locations. With many areas still in a natural state, there are no overly commercialized areas, no traffic jams, and no crowds. Here you can relax on miles of powder sand beach, browse quaint shops, play tennis, enjoy a round of golf on nearby links, and dine in excellent seafood restaurants. Each day, the warm, gentle waters of the Gulf Stream bring thousands of colorful shells to the beach - and fossilized shark's teeth, thousands of years old (but no sharks, only playful schools of dolphins).

Climate and Water Temps

The climate in the greater Topsail Island area (Southeastern Central North Carolina) is typically seasonal. Summers are warm, with some humid periods (July, August), winters are short and frequently above freezing. Spring averages a temperature in the 60's with scattered showers ending as quickly as they erupt. Autumn brings a cool breeze with an average air temperature of 65 degrees and average water temperatures slightly higher. Current weather report for Topsail Island
