Morning Session in our 45' diameter Dome Shop
Layout, cutting & color coding exterior triangles, Cut out 2x8 and 2x4 Super-Wal struts, drill holes and install Super-Lok metal sleeves on strut.
10:30 - 11:15
Breakfast: The Forest Dome
11:15 - 2:00 Mid-Morning Session in our 45' diameter Dome Shop and outside our Dome Shop
Fabricate Super-Wal dome strut with vent notches
Review of dome sizes and systems
Inspect and review treated wood foundation system
Review installation of waterproofing
Review floor joist system and floor deck

Lunch: The Forest Dome
2:45 - 4:45 Afternoon session outside our Dome Shop
Erect dome riser walls (partial 36' high-profile dome)
Erect Super-Wal dome strut system (partial 36' high-profile)
Install exterior triangles on dome (partial 36' high-profile)

Break: Refreshments
5:00 - 6:30 Late Afternoon session outside our Dome Shop
Install skylight window and discuss skylight options
Install insulation and vapor barrier

Cut out interior triangles from 1x8 tongue and groove spruce
Explanation of vapor barriers and in which climates they are used
Install vapor barrier
Install tongue and groove interior panel

11:00 - 2:00 Mid-Morning Session in our 45' diameter Dome Shop and outside our Dome Shop
Install dome base ventilation skirt
Install roofing felt and shingles and inspect options
Discuss and inspect extension arch and review options
Discuss and inspect vent cupola and view cupola
2:00 - 3:00
Lunch, Closing Remarks and Graduation (In the Forest Dome)
3:00 - 5:00 Tour Tessa and Dennis's 49' diameter Bear Creek Dome (under construction)
Inspect and review shallow frost protected permanent wood foundation, riser walls, 2nd floor systems, insulation, roofing, windows, extensions, view cupola, radiant floor heating, etc. Learn about all the healthy "green building" aspects of this dome.
(Those of you with flight connections may have to leave during this tour.)
