Meet in 36’ Office Dome for intro to Natural Spaces Domes, tour 46’ Forest Dome, 25’ screen porch dome, 30’ guest dome, 40’ & 45’ shop domes. Review of NSD planning services and an explanation of dome geometry in the Forest Dome.
6:00 - 8:00
Hors d’ouvres, introductions & dinner at Bear Creek Dome, home of Tessa & Dennis

Saturday

Beverages available throughout the day.
8:30 - 10:30
Morning Session in our 45' diameter Dome Shop

Layout, cutting & color coding exterior triangles, Cut out Super-Wal struts,
drill holes and install Super-Lok metal sleeves on strut.
Fabricate Super-Wal dome strut with vent notches

10:30 - 11:15
BREAKFAST at Bear Creek Dome
11:15 - 2:45 Mid-Morning Session inside and outside our 45' diameter Dome Shop

Review of dome sizes & layout on site
Inspect & review foundation systems & waterproofing
Inspect & review floor joist system & floor deck

Erect dome riser walls (partial 36' high profile dome) and start strut erection
2:45 - 3:30
LUNCH at Bear Creek Dome
3:30 - 6:00 Afternoon session outside our Dome Shop

Erect Super-Wal dome strut system (partial 36' HP)
Install exterior triangles on dome (partial 36' HP)
Install skylight window and discuss skylight options

Sunday

 
8:30 - 10:30
Morning Session inside and outside our 45' diameter Dome Shop

Cut out interior triangle from 1x8 tongue & groove spruce
Explanation of vapor barriers, insulation and climate zones.
Cut out full triangles from 6’ wide x 40’ long roll of fiberglass Eco-batt insulation. Install.
Cut out and install Eco-Batt fiberglass insulation & vapor barrier
Install tongue & groove interior panel

10:30 - 11:15
BREAKFAST at Bear Creek Dome
11:15 - 2:00 Mid-Morning Session outside on the Dome Shop

Install dome base ventilation skirt
Discuss/inspect roofing underlayment/shingles and options, install
Discuss & inspect extension arch and options

                                    Discuss & inspect vent cupola, view cupola, 2nd floor framing, etc.                                   
2:30 - 3:30
LUNCH at Bear Creek Dome and GRADUATION
3:30 - 4:30 Teaching Tour using 49’ Diam. Bear Creek Dome

Inspect and review shallow frost protected permanent wood foundation,
2nd floor systems, roofing, skylights, windows, extensions, view cupola, radiant floor heating, instantaneous hot water system, mini-split air conditioner system, etc. Learn
about all the healthy “green building” aspects of this dome.

(Those of you with flight connections may leave during the tour.)

Private consultation/planning sessions with Dennis can be scheduled for Saturday and Sunday evening and Monday morning.
