Wood Shakes

Cedar shingles & cedar shakes have been used on many of our domes. They are applied over an underlayment with an 18" wide underlayment between each layer using either 30# roofing felt or synthetic underlayments. Some cedar roofing can be fire-treated. There are several grades & thickness.

#1 Western Red Cedar

18" long medium split shingles (7 1/2" exposure) $200-$240 / square

24" Long heavy split shingles (10" exposure) $185 - $250 / square

Cedar hip and ridge cap split shingles - 16 lin ft / bundle $50 - $60 / bundle

30# felt roofing interlayer - 18" wide x 72' long roll $9 - $12 / roll
