Noako & Chihiro Click here for pictures. Sapporo, Japan - Summer 2005. Noako and Chihiro have built a 40' diam. (12.2m) low-profile dome in a typical small lot Japanese neighborhood. Chihiro and his architect attended dome school. Be sure to look for the copper clad roof. |

Talkeetna. With a backdrop of the Denali glacier, Stacie & Dave have erected a 29' mid profile dome with 3 extensions and a lower floor using the permanent wood foundation system. All components were shipped to the site in a container.
Kwethluk. Terry owner built a 41' high profile dome starting in 2002.
Payson. Marion and Dick's 40' high profile 15" Super-Wal a 36' low profile 2x6 dome garage with a 2 story link. Click here for pictures
Show Low. Anita and Bobby built a 40' diam low profile 2x8 dome. This is a simple 1-level floor plan over a crawl space. They also built a 29' diam garage dome.
California
Alpine. Bob & his contractor Marty erected four 30' low profile domes, all of them connected in a "Y" shape with 12' long connecting links. Bob was just about to add a 30' low profile dome to his existing double dome when the California wild fires burnt them to the ground. After regrouping, he decided he couldn't live in anything but a dome - 4 of them. Needless to say, special fire-proofing techniques have been incorporated in this design. Click here for pictures.
North of Redding. The dome is a 36' diam high profile with our 21" Super-Wal system. Shingling w/skylight installation was completed in 2002.
Malibu. After an extremely and historically long permitting process, Suzanne and James finally built their dome on a gorgeous hilltop site 1700' about the Malibu coast. Their 47' diam. dome will have a 180° view.
Fairplay - Jeff started to build his 36' high profile dome Southwest of Denver this summer.
Grand Junction. Amy and Marv owner built a 60' diam., 5 frequency, 7/15 truncation dome attached to their existing Natural Spaces 29' diam. dome near Paonia, Colorado. Click here to go to Amy & Marv's site and check out their dome.
Between Guffey & Hartsel. Mickey & her children completed a 46' diam mid profile dome on their property with gorgeous mountain views, including Pike's Peak.
Crestone. Michael built a small 26' diam mid profile dome.

Bonners Ferry. Mary had a 36' diam low profile 15" Super-Wal dome built.
Troy. Jackie had a 49' mid profile dome built on an ICF crawl space with attached garage near her kids house. Featured on HGTV's "Offbeat America" program in March 2006.
Evansville. Jess and Randee erected their dome May 13-14. Their dome is a 51' diam., mid-profile
with 5 extensions.
Kokomo. Wanda & David constructed a 40' diam low profile & a 40' diam high profile dome.
Muncie. Wendel constructed a 40' diam high profile dome.
Terre Haute. With the help of DomeWorks, Elizabeth built a 29' diam mid profile dome.
Ninevah. Janice & Jack had their contractors erect a 46' diam mid profile dome with a 15" Super-wal on a poured concrete foundation.
Brazil. Domeworks, our builder dealer in Brazil, Indiana. is helping Mitch build his 40' diam high profile dome. The dome shell was erected in the fall of 2002.
Alexander. Kirsten & Brian started working on their 40' high profile dome last fall. They are keeping a blog of their dome building adventure. It can be found here
Perry - Kim & Steve moved into their 45' low profile dome built on a treated wood foundation. They used soft foam sprayed onto the dome shell and in between the studs of the wood foundation. Their dome is also featured in our energy efficient dome section. Click here for pictures
Maxwell - Cheryl and Tyler are building their 47' low profile dome. Their attached 33' diam low profile dome is going up now.
Panora. Click here for photos. Rebecca & Brian have moved her parents 40' diam low profile Natural Spaces dome, originally built in the early 80's, that was located in Grimes - Yes, that's about 30 miles! This event caused quite a stir - Has a dome ever been moved intact 30 miles before?
Highlandville (NE of Decorah). Dana and Don are building a 49' mid profile 21" Super-Wal dome.
Edgewood. Duane's 36' diam high profile 15" Super-Wal dome.
Marble Rock. Judy and Don's 46' mid profile dome.
Webster City. Jean & Chad built their 36' diam high profile dome and then added 2 huge garage/shop buildings.

New Orleans. Diana & John built a beautiful triple dome home utilizing a 36' high profile and two 36' low profile domes, all with 15" Super-wal.
Kaplan. Deb & Joel erected a 40' high profile dome with 15" Super-wal. Building near the coast, their dome is on pilings. They hda no structure damage from Katrina, just shingle damage.
Maine
Arundel. Rob started fabricating dome components in early 2002. He is building a 49' diam mid profile and a 40' diam low profile.

Carrol - Mary and Cliff will be erecting a 46' diam. mid-profile dome and a 29' diam. dome garage in June 2007. The treated wood foundation, lower floor walls, interior walls, and slab were done during July 2006.

Hyannis. Susan & John built a 36' diam. low-profile dome. In their words "we ended up building the entire house ourselves: it was a full year before it was ready to move into. Made some mistakes, but persevered and now we have it. Due to exhaustion, we are still not 100% done.The house is great to live in. We find the open floor plan perfect for us. We would like to thank everyone there for your help in making this work for us. We are having a great time living in the dome, and are very proud of our accomplishment." Click here for pictures

Waseca - Angela and Doug will be building a 46' mid profile dome for their residence and a 36' high profile dome for a garage. They erected the 36' diam High profile dome in August of 2007. They will then move into this dome for 2-3 years, then start the 46' diam. dome.
Grand Marais - Jerry & Diane erected their 40' high profile dome in July 2007. They built a 29' mid profile dome garage and used that space to manufacture their dome.
Richmond - Diane and Gordon are planning their retirement home, starting construction this summer. The 36' high profile dome will have two 2-story extensions.

Zerkel. Kathy & Dick fabricated their 29' diam dome shell. It has 2 extensions plus a lower level encompassing almost 2400 sq. ft.
Redwing. Ellen & Rich fabricated components and erected their 46' mid profile dome. They have also installed a wind generator and solar voltaic panels.
Pine Island. (Just north of Rochester). Linda & Mark erected a large 51' diam mid profile dome. With a central curved stairway and interior ramp. Interior work is progressing.
Crystal (A N.W. suburb of Minneapolis). Deb & Mark. The 26' diam garage dome was erected in 2001, the 40' high profile was erected in 2002, during one of our mildest winters on record. Click here for photos

Harrisburg. March 2006, Patti and Curt had their contractor start a 40' diam. high profile dome with a
2-story extension and a 30' diam. dome garage. The dome 40' diameter shell went up in early April.
The 30' diameter went up in May.

Freeman. Fall 2004. Shelly & Phil are building their 36' diam high profile dome. They built on a permanent wood foundation system. They also have several extensions including a 3 story extension encompassing the stairs.
Columbia. Shirley & Pete had Custom Domes work on their 40' diam low profile dome.
Montana
Havre. 2006 Jan and Lance started their 40' diam. high-profile dome after they took delivery in mid July 2006. Click here for a picture
Kalispell. Jerry erected a 72' diam. 2x8 dome erected. Jerry bought our connector system and fabricated his own struts. The dome will be covered in fiberglass and serve as a greenhouse and outer roof for a smaller dome built inside.

Ohio
Yellow Springs - Vicki and Marlin are building a large 61' Mid profile dome. Their dome shell is up.. The concrete slab is poured and the insulated concrete form riser walls are in place. They are fabricating their own dome shell. The 36' low profile garage was erected in January 2007.

60' diam. mid profile dome home, working on it during
a couple of weekdays each week because of their schedule.
This large 2 story dome, without a lower level, will
accommodate their family of 5 quite nicely.

Peebles. Deo added on to his existing cabin in 2001 with a 30' diam high profile dome.
Dorset. Kathy & Steve are building a 40' high profile dome.
Clinton. Laura & Don started their 44' diam mid profile dome.
Clatsop County. Domes Northwest assisted David in raising his 26' diam. dome the weekend of August 5,6. The domesite is located 50 miles NW of Portland, OR. and 22 miles East of the Pacific Ocean off Hwy #26.

Grants Pass. Julie & Chuck are building a 40' low profile dome over a garage/family room main floor.
Lake Como Art and Sally are building a 36' High profile dome. The wood foundation is up and they put up the dome shell in January of 2007.
Pittsburgh. Frank fabricated his components for a 40' low profile dome and started building.
Denver. Jean and Jerry had a contractor erect their 49'/51' diam low/mid profile dome with 15" Super-Wal. They built a lower floor basement using pre-built sections of concrete.
Texas
San Antonio (actually, Bulverde). Late Sept 2004. Margie & Larry put up two 30' high profile domes and a 40' high profile dome, connected in a "V" shape. They've built the ground floor rooms and garages, with the dome starting on the second floor. Larry built a Monterey dome in California in the 1980's. Once a Domer, always a Domer.
